McDonald's to raise investments in Russia by 40% in 2019

MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- The U.S. fast food chain McDonald's plans to raise investments in its business in Russia by 40% in 2019, Marc Carena, CEO in Russia, told reporters on Wednesday.

McDonald's opened 40 restaurants in Russia in 2018 and plans to open 60 in 2019, he said.

The company also plans to raise its staff in Russia by 10% this year, he added.

McDonald's has so far invested over 60 billion rubles in the Russian economy since the start of operations in 1990, Carena also said.
